There are various makes of eReaders that interface well with the Library's OverDrive (site which allows you to borrow eBooks with your library card)

Depending on the make of your eReader (sometimes referred to as an "Android") will depend on how you do this, however there are some very basic steps that apply to all eReaders:-

Downloading your OverDrive Adobe Digital Desktop Icon - if you are using a Kobo Touch, Sony Reader or any other eReaders that do not have internet access you will be using this program along with your PC (computer) & eReader. Hard Copies of this are available at the Library or click to print one off from home.

Downloading your OverDrive App (if you are using a portable device with internet access (Android eReader/Iphone/Ipad) This App downloads eBooks & audio books if you device supports them.

Setting up your Adobe Account (this is the program that allows you to read printed material). If you failed to do this when you downloaded your OverDrive App or when you first pugged you eReader in, you may do so after the fact. Please remember you will have to do a factory reset on your reader, any material not purchased will be lost. Purchased items will still be available from the website library you have set up (ie-Kobo Library).

Browse, Search, Download & Return eBooks with OverDrive If you are reading on a portable device (Android eReader/Iphone/Ipad), the steps are the same other than when you log into your account after an library item has expired, you will be prompted to delete this item from your device. Hard Copies of this are available at the Library or click to print one off from home.
