You are able to borrown & read eBooks on Portable Devices (Kobo Vox, Iphone, Ipad & some other Androids) that have internet access. To do this you must have download the "OverDrive" App. Where you do this on device will be slightly different. Below is the steps for setting up the Kobo Vox, similar steps will be required to set up other eReaders.

Iphone or Ipad:-

• go to the Apple App Store (there is no charge for this app) and type in "OverDrive" & download.
  • if you have not downloaded the TRAC App do this now. This way you can also order other library items & manage your library account from you mobile device
• the first time you open OverDrive you will need to set up your "Home Library" in order to access TRAC OverDrive
  • tap on middle icon (3 horizontal lines) & click on "Add Library"
  • tap on "Browse Libraries"
  • tap on "Canada"
  • tap on "Alberta"
  • you can scroll down to "Westlock" of choose "Alberta Beach" on the first page
  • tap on the "star" to add library. The "The Regional Consortium" will now appear on your "Get Books" page

Kobo Vox:-
Download OverDrive App

• tap on "Settings" on the home screen (middle icon on the bottom of the screen), then click on "Applications" Ensure the "Unkown sources" box is ticked.
• open your internet browser click on the "home icon" (looks like a small house on the bottom of the screen) & go to www.overdrive.com/softward/omc Under "Choose Version" tap on one that applies, in this case "Android"
  • as it downloads, at the top of the Kobo Vox you will see a downward arrow above a horizontal bracket
• go to "All Apps" (at the bottom of your home screen) & choose "Downloads" app (this is green). You see latest download at the top, tap on
  "OD Media Console Set Up".
  • when the download is finished, you will see the blue OverDrive Icon near the bottom on "All Apps" screen. Note: this app allows you to download both eBook materials as well as Audio materials ( iproviding your eReader supports them)
• click on the OverDrive App, you will seen the "Welcome to Overdrive" Downloading this will give you an audio tour of how OverDrive works.

Set Up Home Library-while still in OverDrive

• tap on middle icon (3 horizontal lines) & click on "Add Library"
• tap on "Browse Libraries"
• tap on "Canada"
• tap on "Alberta"
• you can scroll down to "Westlock" of choose "Alberta Beach" on the first page
• tap on the "star" to add library. The "The Regional Consortium" will now appear on your "Get Books" page

You are now ready to start ordering, downloading & reading eBooks from Overdrive.
