The Westlock Municipal Libraries accept donations of money or library material. Library material can include books, magazines, DVDs or CDs.
Library Material Donations
Print and audio/visual material must be clean and undamaged. Items are added to the collection based on age, condition, and material relevance. We prefer to not have textbooks or magazines brought in, or items that are musty or moldy. Duplicate or outdated items will be shared with our service points (Fawcett or Jarvie) or added to our book sale shelf.

Donates items must be in good to excellent condition. The Librarian reserves the right to accept or discard donated items, or to place them in the Book Sale to raise money for new materials.

Book Sale? How does that work?
Book Sale money goes directly to the purchase of new items for the Library.

The Library has major Book Sales in June and December, and maintains a small booksale shelf throughout the year.
Monies: Donations can be made to the library in the form of cash, cheque, or money order, indicating the Westlock Municipal Library. Donors may specify if the monies should be dedicated in memory of a loved one or earmarked for a specific item purchase. All donors giving more than five dollars will recieve an income tax reciept. Donations given in memory of an individual will have a memorium plate placed in the purchased item.
Operational donations may be used where most needed at the Library.
Bottle donations: Westlock Municipal Library accept bottles, cans, milk jugs, tetrapaks, and cartons as an initiative to generate monies for purchasing library materials and equipment.
